Web Standards-Forms

in #steembloggers8 years ago (edited)

Today in Web Standards I will read and review Chapter 9- Forms. This chapter is 19 pages long.

When I began to review the chapter on forms I started to realize that I am going to have to spend some time understanding HTML. When I started to read into the chapter it seems to me that this chapter brings together all the basics of HTML and then add in the new part.

Form handlers are generally created in PHP and/or other server-side programming languages. These are the forms we fill out when we pay for things or share our information online. This is why the security of a website is so important (SSL) if it deals with someone’s personal information.

HTML forms allow users to interact with Web documents by providing GUI controls for data entry The HTML side of forms simply collects the data.

Learning how to write a form in HTML is a step to building a website that collect information from its traffic. Coupons for customers are also a part of forms. Forms cannot work along so it takes some type of script files or some other system to collect the information and send it back to you via a separate document. Learning PHP comes in handy when creating forms in HTML.
To began making a form use the form tag (< form >).

HTML requires that all fields contain name attributes for their data to be submitted with the form.
