Some of the best posts I come across convey similar messages. The way informational is shared come from a similar intellectual point of view. Pictures, blogs, vlogs, posts etc… showing what is going on within the mind of individuals and communities across the world.
That is an interest that deserves to be noticed. As a photographer it makes you want to get out and fill your camera with pictures of every site you pass and visit. In time, those moments could allow you to feel the emotions that surrounded and occupied your time and space; memories.
This question I propose should seem easy to answer… As students in an educational setting are we taught how to think or told what to think?
As education becomes mandatory in most parts of the world how do we measure the effectiveness of this directive. In math, science and technology are there any room for opinions or is all facts the only way? Is intelligence based on factual knowledge? This would not prove to be the case if you could compare the culture of a community in 1518 A.D to 2018 A.D there factual knowledge in technology was far different from ours also science and math.
With the growth of the internet age we all have factual knowledge in our pocket. Although it may be complex for some to simply “Google It”.
To become reflective, creative and critical in our decision making we have to recognize that we all have thinking errors. The amazing thing about error is that other people can pick up on the error but it would seem reasonable and normal for us. There are also thinking errors in popular culture so it is the most difficult to discern. For example, there is a flight you can take from New York City to Libya in 2 hours; 7 minutes. Based on factual knowledge what I stated would be false. One day it may occur that what I stated is true.
