SBI - Quick Update on Steemauto Dependencies

Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Steemauto Dependency
At present, we have all pools except for the main pool using Steemauto to deliver our scheduled upvotes. We are making good progress with our automation, but the voting engine is not ready yet.
Steemauto downtime
It appears that steemauto has been down more than 12 hours now, and there has been no update from @mahdiyari or response on his discord server.
With Steemauto down, most pools are not receiving their SBI upvotes. It is virtually impossible for us to detect and catch up missed upvotes manually, but we plan to evaluate missed value and catch up members when we deploy the new system. (Please see https://steemit.com/busy/@steembasicincome/steem-basic-income-rshares-and-automation for more information on our Retroactivity. Some members might not have surplus value even after this downtime.)

I guess SBI has far outgrown the scope of a social experiment with dependency on 3rd party services and manual processing... time to get a proper system in place and automate this
yeah... I know... I say that like it was easy, I know it isnt ;)
We have been working toward that and completed most of the items in our initial release checklist. We are in testing on most components and there are a few critical pieces still worked on.
Did he really run out of the money-that the sever just shut down? Hopefully it just a bug :)
I think that there have been issues with the RPC nodes that he uses.
Ahhhg steemauto 🤦♂️ I was wondering.... our #OneLoveDTube community has been considering our own system also... insane amount of load he has taken on with his project

I've heard that it's open source, so for communities like yours (and ours) that have a heavy load, it may be better to clone it and launch your own cloud server for your members.
That's something that I've been thinking about, but we are almost done with out own voting engine that integrates all the features we need for our program, so we're focusing on that and then we may look at some Steemauto alternatives to help our members not miss votes on updates.
Before I upvote comments that otherwise have no value to them, sbi9 (etc) has dustsweeper or something, right?
We subscribed dustsweeper on all the accounts. I think sbi10 might not have it yet because it was setup more recently.

Your post six days ago reactivated you, but then today's was missed by the SteemAuto outage. Whenever our voting works again you should start getting votes.

Have you tried out the Steemvoter Beta at https://beta.steemvoter.com/welcome as a replacement for steemauto with no downtime? :)

If they have issues again before we finish our own automation, then I will revisit it. It takes quite a bit of work to transfer thousands of voting rules from one service to another.
Ya thanks for sharing this on discord right away I know for now you need steemauto to work. Also a lot of us use it to vote for your post so maybe give them some credit for missing any right now.
