I live in Canada and both Christmas and New Year's is represented by a lot of snow and a lot of driving across the province in which I live. You haven't seen snow until the banks are 10 feet high or taller. It's like driving in dirty white tunnels for hours, but when you get where you are going you can bet, there will be a warm hearth, great food, music and a lot of laughing with family and friends. We load the car with our emergency gear too, because you never know if your car is going to get stuck and if you have to walk to the nearest farmhouse for help, you'll be thankful for your parka, snow pants and boots rated for -40 below. This is a picture, from Christmas 2 years ago. The pavement is the road and you can see how high the banks are. Some people are very patriotic and spray paint the banks with encouragement. LoL
