Here the nut in the nutshell here is Our goal.

Firstly I want you to know that Steemit is not get rich quick Platform:-
It takes;

• Consistency
• Perseverance
• Engagements to become successful on Steemit.

Let's go of your temptation about Upvotes.
Steem! on and eventually with above-mentioned Upvotes will come to you.

I noticed: many people lament about not being Upvoted by eSteem!
I get a question to ask? do you post because of eSteem Upvotes? or you post to add more Value to People from what you posted? I'm sorry to say if you post because of eSteem Upvotes you can't be a successful Steemian... Post for people/whales, put hard work to your content [make it well formatted], post what you like doing, with this you will become successful Steemian. Never goto anyone inbox and beg for Upvotes, you may be assumed as a Spammer and your article got flagged by those you Inbox your links.

I did this when I started, I lamented about not being Upvoted but @good-karma told me to Steem On! which I did now I'm a happy Steemian today.

Title : Making good Title

Make sure your Title defined all that your Content is all about... People/Whale click to read your Article based on your Title.
@teamspeak said your article get fascinated and get read by whales through your title. This is true because it's psychological.

Contents/Article

Styling/Formating your articles [EX. centring ur images, bolding text, italic/emphasise text, bulleting, using tables, Horizontal Line etc] also attract members. please don't just post, make your post catchy/eye catchy, check the preview before publishing.

If you use nice styling people will follow and will like to read Your article and revisit your blog Spontaneously but for you to make your content/article look nice you have to know one of these languages because these are the Syntax Steemit Supports Markdown or HTML.

Many users ask about putting YouTube videos on articles. To do this, navigate to any YouTube video you will like to add to your post and Copy the video link to your Steemit content , so easy and Simple.

No Plagiarism

Please no plagiarism: plagiarism is a bad act on Steemit, Steemians hate it.
if you are posting another website article: paraphrase, specify source in your content, don't just copy and paste.

Tags

Tags are very very Important!
You can See I take my time here because tags are really Important for your good articles tags get your post more visibility, it will help people find your posts. Each post can have up to five tags, separated by spaces. The first tag in the list will be the main category that the post is in. The tags should all be relevant to the content in the post.

Relating tags with Facebook; when making a post a user can tag someone alongside the post and in return, the post is seen on their feed or they get the notification.

Tag spam?

Yes, that's the act of using tags that is not in anyway related to your post

Example

Making a post about Cooking and end up using "esteem, steemit, steem, utopian, funny".

you only have made it hard for curators of the used tags to sort and get the related content upvoted. with this, you may be flagged.

Whereas, such post probably should have "cooking, blog, home".

If you make the Cooking article with the mentioned tags you just made a nice post with correct tags.
Curators of the specified tags will find your post easily and could curate/upvote it.

In essence what am trying to say is that when making use of tag one should look for the related post and tag appropriately, check the popular tags as many might not be there currently as they are yet to become popular.

Also, tag is still necessary when participating in a competition as it enables the authors to easily locate works that are relevant to their competition.

The arrangement does not really matter as your post can be seen from the tag you selected, but for proper arrangement, it is best you make your first tag that which it is really related to.

Take for example me, say I blog about games, my first tag would be the gaming tag as it will provide proper visibility and those willing to curate my work would see the need to.

To this, I say do well to properly tag your work as to create more visibility and get more readers/viewers and do not be bothered about having a low payout as you are being noticed even when no comments are dropped or even an upvote
