When the big fish comes from the last communist empire and it swallows a decentralized network, things get more fun.
This did not happened. Justin Sun bought only Steemit, not the Steem blockchain. Steemit is not the Steem blockchain. Steemit is not the whole network. Steemit is just/only a dApp on the Steem blockchain. A front end to access and interact with (including creating and modifying) the contents of the Steem blockchain.
Several posts are explaining that @justinsunsteemit bought the 32 million steem of @steemit, making it the biggest share holder and able to select his own witnesses
