Drop the Expectation - Play for Real.

I've had a tendency to think too much.

Wasting my time on trivial bullshit.

It's been a real process journey to recovery. To in fact stop myself from participating in bullshit.

There's lots of ways to describe the shit of a bull.

Steemit doesn't owe you shit.

@denmarkguy gets a shout out.

He gave me a few really great comments on my post, "STEEM ECOSYSTEM - WHY IT WORKS - EXISTENTIAL THINKING AT PLAY"

Seems to me that what we have here is really an extraordinary opportunity, and with the exception of a few problematic pockets here and there, the self-governing system here works pretty well.

Perhaps the important thing for most of us-- including the many newcomers-- is to check in with ourselves and have a look at our expectations. Seriously? We were not offered a "job" here so nobody "owes" anyone an income. This is not a "job," it's an opportunity.

I love the fact that most of what we do here is really rooted in the greater idea of a "Gift Economy" and what we do is basically live by a system of paying it forward to others.

@randykrafft had a strong follow up play - and dropped some heavy common sense - the kind where you're like, "damn that's deep shit dude."

Indeed we have an extraordinary opportunity here @worldclassplayer...
Thing is, Everyone knows Something that some other people Don't know.... And, Each one has their own perspective on Everything.... No two people will or can see Anything alike, as we can only see with our Own eyes, and interpret What we see based on Our experiences, education, environment and programming we got from our parents... The fact that people even agree sometimes does not, and cannot, mean that they think the Exact same thing about Anything...
That's not hard to understand if one really Looks at it...

The Golden Rule makes more sense Here than on any social media site ever created....
Treat Others the way You want to be Treated. It's really that simple....That Includes, btw - Putting Yourself in Their Shoes - in the shoes of the other person... That means, trying to see things from Their perspective...
Effective communication and collaboration can then commence...

The Dude @randykrafft dropped a heavy content creation that's undervalued - perhaps it's the lack of picture - but it's a big picture deep definition writing to the very core of your Being.

Facing Overwhelming Sadness within Grief

  • SUGGESTION - Ready Randy's Post.

It wasn't all that long ago I don't think I could have handled self-reflecting on a post of that magnitude. Randy brings the heavy down to earth with a structured style to simplicity that is brilliant.

Steemit doesn't owe You Shit

This is true - so I am taking the time to share a little credit - giving shout out's to some of the creator's here that are really sharing meaning in their words.

Shared words is real good shit - when it's real.
That's the secret.

Be yourself for Reallllllz

SPEAKING of a Real Word Player,

My friend @ctedswordways

Man, he laid out a real cool track of a post.

I just got to let everybody know - his flow is remarkable.

The Specificity in Being Specific

Giving Great Credit Often shouldn't be a foreign affair.

Thanks for tuning in. I got a lot of credit to share. There's a lot of worldclassplayers here.

on point!

Hey, I have only been here a day, but it seems to me that you just hit a nail squarely on the head. I am working out that this platform seems to have reached a tipping point where new users are coming, and coming fast. And this is going to have an impact. In my day here, I have seen people hawking for upvotes and follows, but this ain't Twitter, and that isn't going to work.

You are right, it isn't a job, but I am kind of treating it like one in one respect - I need to put the time in, and I need to play by the rules. If I do that, then maybe this will work for me both financially and philosophically.

I have to say, I am finding it fascinating.

Thanks for all the advice.

hey dude - cool!

a phrase that I really like comes to mind just now:

Play with your Work and Work on Your Play

In this regard you're always on point from the perspective of creating a dynamic harmony of "work" and "play" beyond the polarity of mind in a versus type equation.

Sounds Like You Got It.

Keep Playing @matbaker Sounds like it Works :)

Thanks WCP!

Yanno, us newbies (says he, speaking on behalf of tens of thousands of people who will never know and clearly has no chance of understanding) need a few kind words from established users like you. I get the impression that there is a "pay it forward" vibe on here from a decent proportion of users.

I hope I get to a point where I can be the one giving the encouragement.

I will keep playing, thanks. :)

Yes exactly those points are indeed valid and I sure have seen a few quitting Steemit as they were not getting anything out from it and they were not getting anywhere, tired of being explaining things to them that Steemit does not works this way ! Like it's said It is an oppurtunity you have to grab it and make it your own and use it to build up your foundation in it !
Yes it will take time and everything does .Nothings comes easy !

and again I am glad that I joined Steemit and I proudly say I am a member of this great community !

Solid post.

I’ve been going through project management training and the 1 sentence that rings in my brain, that I’ll always remember is “It starts with me”.

Golden rule is another one to always follow.

Keep on keepin’ on!

Man this is straight to the point. I do feel bad for thoses that put a lot of effort into their post and don't get any attention. They give up pretty quick. I think it's actually a good things because it causes people to work at it and stop thinking about the "free" money. Nothing in life is free even on steemit

The fact that this site enables the gift economy is amazing! The whole STEEM blockchain really, promotes the self-governing and gifting society that basically everyone except those rich few who enjoy capitalism really wants to see in the world!
It takes effort and time and insight, but oh, it is so rad.

Well said man, be real people!

Can't argue with that playah! Excellent post!

I know what you're talking about. This place is becoming less attractive for the true content creator. The big fallacy is that everyone is a content creator. That's bullshit. I'm a content consumer and I find 10% useful, informative, inspiring. I keep checking in but the only community forming here is steemit fanboys and girls.

We are early in the development of the potential here @leoumesh

With anything new - it's a process of physical integration and substantiation - reminds me of the 3 phases of a new invention...lol.

We should do an interview back and forth conversation sometime!

"S" Bomb!

:p

Actually WE owe STEEMit...

Keep STEEM N ON,
Frank
