**Compiling a list for mining with different hardware , the hash rates produced and how many steem mined in a day **

in #steem8 years ago

Hi fellow miners.

I have been searching the net looking for comparisons of hardware and what hash rates were produced also how many steem were mined a day from these particular hash rates. There is no recent list available so i thought i would make one.
I will start the list : 4790 k , 8 threads @ 4.9 Ghz , 16gb ram , 41khs ....... only getting 1 steem a day so far.

Sort:

Intel Core i7 5820K at stock clock doing about 40 KHS with 12 threads (6 core - 12 threads CPU), running it at about 33 KHS gets between 1 and 3 steem per day mining (depending on luck).

Thanks for the input cryptos, how often are you mining 3 a day on average in a week ?

Once I think, it is most likely to get 2 per day and rarely just 1.

ive been mining for two days at 30khs and still havent found anything. think i might have dne smething wrong

I have written a simple guide for getting started with mining, all the things you need to make sure you set in order to have a PC successfully mining, you canceck it out and compare if you have done everything required: https://steemit.com/steemit/@cryptos/getting-started-mining-steem-on-windows

If you follow it you should be all set for mining, the rest could be just bad luck... have you seen if you managed to mine a block on steemd.com ?

stupid thing doesnt allow reploed after 5 replies. well if i look on steemd i dont see my name on the miner queue. is there anotherway to look if i have mined a block on steemd?

You get on the miner-witness queue after you successfully mine a block, you can check if you have here https://steemd.com/@warrensteem

It should say "warrensteem found a pow" when you succesfully mine a block, then for about an hour or two you should be moving up in the miner-witness queue before you witness a block creation and get a reward.

ok so i finally found a pow, but then an hour later i wasnt on steemd.com miners list any more?

what could be the reason for this.

You start at the back of the list, then climb to the top spot and then you should witness a block and get a reward. This moves you out of the witness-miner queue and you start minign again in order to get included once more in the list. It should normally take between 1 and 2 hours to move to the top spot in the list.

aaah ok, so when i witness a block i get removed the list and i need to find another block again to be added. ok cool thank you!
