Hey @trevonjb, what are your thoughts on Smart Media Tokens?
I personally they they will be bad, and here's why:
Ethereum was basically killing it for so long, because everyone and their mother was ICO'ing on their blockchain, but then come to find out, 99% of the projects were all shitcoins and scams, and then they all bolted after selling off all their Ethereum, which tanked the price from $1,300 down to the $200 range.
Don't you think this will just happen on the Steem blockchain next, and why not just use Steem for all the projects like they are currently doing... why does Steem want a bunch of shitcoins running around their blockchain?
I’ve had this same thought actually. I think they will be good for a nice price increase because that’s what happened with eth but yea they could put a lot of sell pressure on steem. I really have to give it more thought tho to see how it would logically go.

But at the same time, I would be cool with SMTs pumping the price of steem to $50 down to $10 :)
