100M Market Targeted By A STEEM Application: I Am Glad Someone Thought Of This!!! ๐๐๐
Gaming is a huge market. The graphics today make video games appear so life-like. As time goes by, we see games get more advanced.
There is one game that is a bit more traditional yet, I am finding out, is extremely popular. This game received over 100M downloads in the Google Play Store. Fortunately, an astute Steemian who was looking to create a gaming program for STEEM was aware of this.
Therefore, he created a game to go after the 8 Ball Pool by Miniclip.
That is right. The game is traditional pool for Android.

So what is the deal with this?
To start, it is a game that is on the STEEM blockchain. Hence, anyone who is playing is going to be a Steemian. How often do we interact with people on here yet not get with them in a setting aside from commenting on their posts. Now you can see fellow Steemans in actions.
Another wonderful part of this is that you can win Steem by winning your matches without the prospect of losing STEEM. Since this is using the "reward" system, it is there is upside for winning yet none for losing.
This multi-player game uses two different in-game currencies, coins and shares. The shares are redeemable for STEEM and given to the winners.

I would never have guessed that 100M people download a pool game from the Google Play Store. That is incredible. To me, this is just another indication of what is taking place on here. Every couple of days we see an application introduced that targets a fairly large market. While not all of them will be successful, the ones that are can attract a large number of users. This is a very positive thing for the long term prospects of STEEM.
Gaming is one of the largest industries around. Having developers starting to work on applications that use STEEM and allow the users to earn it is exactly what this blockchain needs. We saw the impact CryptoKitties had on Ethereum. Unlike that blockchain, STEEM can handle all the traffic that comes with something becoming extremely popular.
We are heading in the right direction. All this activity is going to pay off big time.

Great to know as at least Sam has played 8 Ball Pool on his iPhone for many years, but recently deleted the app. Moving to Super 8 Club now? Well, there's no reason not to try it out! Thanks for the post!
There's another app recently released that allows you to tip in Steem on Twitter without having to have a Steem account. I wrote about this and the effect that micro transactions are a path to freedom from the old banking paradigm.
