Steem is going to the MOON!!! Broke $1 today!

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

It's been a LOOONG time since I've seen Steem trading this high. Right now it's just under 80 cents each!! Not long ago I remember when we were dipping below a dime.

Even though I've not been terribly active on here for the last month I have still been doing some crypto-trading. Yes, I still consider myself a noob at it, but I've constantly watched how Steem is doing and for a while now there have been some great jumps in price that seem to be holding. (Don't take this as trading advice, just my excitement.)

Anyway, enjoy these times! I've said for a long time my dream to just see Steem back at a dollar and the effect that will have on the reward pool! I really hope to see this continue on upwards! Go STEEM!

I am looking forward for a dollar worth of steam :)

Me too! I've already started seeing some of the effects of the higher Steem prices on payouts and how much my vote is worth. (It takes a little bit for those to show up with things running on a 30 day price average...at least I'm pretty sure that's how it's setup now.)

good to see your vote has some values to it :),
I don't have much steem power now, but I hope it will fill up soon
I have started blogging, but it earns very few upvotes no matter what's the post :(

I've been building it up for what feels a long while. It definitely takes time to get a 'following' together.

I liked you're latest post and reblogged it for you to do what I can. I've hit on the 'innate human nature' question before...it's a good one :)

thank you so much,
I am glad you like my post :)
thank you again for sharing, it definitely counts

No problem. If I wasn't lacking sleep horribly atm I'd have come up with some response on there. I'll try to get back to it after nap or something. :)

I do tend to hold a similar view of people...being inherently good by nature (even though I've heard good arguments against that.)

it's okay, we seem to have same opinion on life :)
and, it's night here too, sweat dream :) :)

I wonder what events, if any, contribute to this spike in value? It's nice for sure, i'm pumped and glad i've held onto a lot of steem, but interested in the real world reasons behind it and any further speculation as to how things may continue or change.

Yes, it's an interesting question I was wondering myself. How are you btw ?

It's hard to say anything for sure. But I'd suspect the continuous work on marketing and/or the recent the changes to help reduce signup fraud (as well as working to speed the whole process up.) This is all pure guesses though. Could just as easily be people are getting more used to Steem/Steemits place in the market, or just some short term investments into Steem (which I'd guess we'd see it drop back down in the future.)

So in short...dunno. Lol. But I like it :)

I love every part of this surge!

I'm with you there. It's nice seeing the work being done on the site and with marketing seeming to be paying off. (Assuming that's the cause, lol.)

Steem was always really undervalued. And the market cap is still so low that one big fat finger can really put us really high!

All in all I can understand that. I guess if the price sustains or not can give an idea if it was a trading-whale just tossing some in for a shorter term gain?

I've only been trading for a couple months, definitely still learning.

This pump was made in Japan

Heh.
How do you know? I'm not doubting, just curious.

The distribution in jpy buying compared to other fiats according to one of the articles I read here. I couldnt find the link....

I getcha. Thank you!
I'm pretty sure I ended up running across that article you were talking about.

It was so refreshing to see! I hope it brings in new investors and users to the platform :D

Totally agree with you there! It definitely helps the hype!

One other note. Not trading advice, but keep buying people!! :)

What's not to love about the price surge?

So true...I can't complain. I guess those trying to short Steem were a bit upset, lol.
