@btc-dialog, there is a strong, active Korean community on Steemit. Over the last few weeks and months, I heard of a couple of Korean exchanges listing STEEM for the first time.

My thought is that an existing interest in STEEM coupled with the ability to now purchase STEEM nationally

• created the SDB price increase
• which lead to converting SBD to STEEM to be powered up
• which lead to an increase in the current STEEM price.

Just a thought, but I believe it is plausible. And when you add fast transactions no fees, you have a killer combination.
