To resume the bullish uptrend Steem needs to be closing above the $1.24 - $1.25 price. Failing this it needs to stay above $0.85. We need more Marketing..!!

Technically, we are at a critical point..!!

I have highlighted an area in red that we need to be trading in over the next few weeks.

This area is between $1.24 and $2.60.

Buy Alert

#Steem triggered a #dMAmapping⇗⇗⇗⇗⇗⇗ buy alert Signal on 10-May-2017 at $0.85.

To resume the bullish uptrend #Steem needs to be closing above the $1.24 - $1.25 price in the coming few days.

Failing this, #Steem needs to at least stay above $0.85.

We need more Marketing..!!

Though I still maintain a Long Term Bullish recommendation on #Steem, technically it is trading at a critical junction now and one that could see the price go either way.

Though we have had some great news with the proposal to launch Smart Media Tokens SMTs, there is still a concern that the number of new users registering is still showing signs of slowing down.

I have raised my concerns over the last few months that Marketing and Promoting #Steemit is vital for growth and I cannot stress any further my worries that this point is still not being taken serious enough.

I will continue to monitor the new registrations and #technicalanalysis over the next few days/weeks, however I strongly feel that more focus should now be placed on Marketing and Promoting of #Steemit and #Steem,

Thanks again for reading.

This smart token diversion was such a huge mistake. The communities were so obviously needed. Look at medium and Reddit and yet there were never added to chase the platform play. Now I barely use steemit and won't i tile they have communities. This thing is going to keep going down.

is it advisable to buy steem now because of its low exchange rate?

you know this is a good question, I was thinking the same as with it being as it is at the moment I could buy loads then later when the price rises like bitcoin did it would be worth loads. so I'm thinking it's a good idea. :)

Im out next week on thursday promoing hoping this helps. Im hoping steem rises too. There has to be someway of promoing on tv with out it costing ££££££. Im thinking of new ideas but we will see

Hey @stephenkendal! I have introduced five people last 2 weeks and none have been approved yet, seems like the signup process is still a big problem! 😞

When I joined I had the same problem took ages to get in, but then my mate went on and he was in within 24 hours, and there was something that he picked up on later when he introduced his friends to it, certain email addresses don't get processed as quick, I joined with my icloud email took weeks, my mate used gmail and he was is in then his mate used icloud and again took weeks, so is there something to do with email addresses and getting verified?

Hey @artonmysleeve, I haven't found any pattern yet except not using the same IP adress for creating accounts as they seem to have some detection for that to avoid mass account creation from individuals.

Me and the wife have both got free accounts on the same IP address verified by steemit so it's a little strange that they gave us both one on the same IP address, and steemit never questioned either account, true it is for two different people but it is still a multipul account on there, took here a while too to get on with her icloud email address.

Ok. I just hope HF20 comes along soon, should streamline the signup process!

why more marketing?
steemit is broke.
It can't handle the traffic it has now.
fixit..then worry about new people.

Thanks. This is the kind of update we need at this time when most steemians are panicking due to the falling value of steem.

Though we have had some great news with the proposal to launch Smart Media Tokens SMTs, there is still a concern that the number of new users registering is still showing signs of slowing down.

However concerning the above lines, i'm sure great efforts are still being made across diffeent countries to create a wider awareness of steemit among the populace.

Besides, there are many diffeent online initiatives which major aim is the promotion of steemit thro diferent ways - for example curation of posts for new users to improve their payouts and thus boost their confidence in the platform. One such initiative is @airhawk-project, which aside doing this, also ventures into direct exchange of sbd for real currency to redress new users' niggling concerns of withdrawal since blockchain technology is an entire novelty to some and which seeming complexities often have some kind of repulsive reaction from them.

Now the thing is most of these online initiatives are in dire need of sponsorships. So assuming efforts are made to identify them and reasonable assistance granted them according to their needs at a point in time?

Of course i needn't say this would go a long way in helping these initatives accomplish their set goals which would ultimately impact on the larger steemit community as would manifest in steady influx into the platform as users would then afford to partake with ease of mind...
