Steem Is Holding Up Very Well Against The Bears!
The whole cryptocurrency market is down between 5 - 10% today and I guess most of us can feel that bearish movement whenever taking a look at their portfolio right now. I mean just look at that sea of red on the top tokens, they are all down quite a bit...
But luckily our beloved steem is holding up really really well against that bearish movement. It's one of the coins with the most growth over the last 24 hours and more or less just goes against the trend by raising it's value by more than 5%. Yes, it's true, just look at it ;)
Actually just a few days ago I published a post that Steem outperformed Bitcoin in 2017 and as it seems that's as well the case in 2018 once again. At least until today but I somehow don't expect this to change much after the steem ecosystem and its community just keeps growing every single day.

Depends on your definition of truth full source? And do you want to read retrospective or predictive analysis?
I would say most Steemonians just share their opinion as not much stories are backed up by data driven analysis.
To my opinion we basically don't know why the crypto market has such big swings. Neither why the market is bearish or bullish.
And most of the time bad or food news explains the sudden price swings. And it could be affected by trading bots that automatically all or but at certain price levels.

I have a feeling the stampede is coming soon. 2017 was the year of wild speculation and scams. 2018 is the year when real fundamentals matter.
Also, STEEM Power now is an income producing asset via Delegating to projects like @steemhunt. Delegation will now produce ERC20 Tokens and SMT's in the future. STEEM will change the ICO space with the use of delegation and Airdrops.
The most amazing about it is that you can't be scammed out of your assets with a steem delegation. People are just able to dissappoint you but nothing else than that and this is simply an amazing step towards a revolution in the ICO space. I really see so many awesome projects getting funded that way in the future.
Exactly. The @steemhunt model for Airdrops/ICO is going to be huge. I would much rather have disappointment than regret. The Airdrop/ICO game gets really crazy when we get SMT's. You will not only be able to delegate STEEM, but also other SMT's to help bootstrap new dapps.
Wow delegate more coins? This just get's better by the day! So will that delegation work exactly the same as when you delegate Steem? That will say that you delegate power away/bandwidth. The airdrop game has been quite fascinating to watch. Especially on Telegram and with Earn.
So many projects that are being worked on at the same time. Would love to see a website like Earn but where you can connect your email and earn Steem instead for when someone wants to send you an email message. That would mean someone needs to hold Steem. Sort of the same way as Blocktrades is doing business.
Yes. It will work the same from what I understand. STEEM is the token that all bandwidth is allocated/measured in. Delegating other SMT's will allow new dapps to tap into the Reward Pools of other Communities.

My God it's up to $3.29 on coinmarketcap! Yes it's very impressive. Clearly shows that Steem is the future! $1500 one day easy! The best part is how we can earn it everyday and increase the value of the Steem Blockchain daily and create cool win-win effects that benefits all holders.
I'm hopeful things that are actually useful like Steemit survive. As far as the "use case" goes it's definitely farther along than most other coins or tokens. The bots are a serious problem though, let's admit it.
Tone Vays and company had some generally poor things to say about steemit in an EOS discussion in his live stream today, for your consideration @steembusiness, any thoughts?
What do you think will happen to sbd's? In your opinion are we better off with the dollar peg or better off keeping another speculative coin? I know that's controversial to some, but I don't have an opinion either way really...
Keep it floating around up high. 🛩Once it calms itself down it will go down again and everyone can go back to regular business! But SBD can go up to $50 US dollars in value. Since the supply circulating is so small! And they are in demand! This coin is clearly awesome since most people feel more comfortable to trade it around instead of their liquid STEEM.
I do indeed like that it is liquid and easily tradeable. Let's hope it hits another ath soon!
