10 USD is not too much if you care about your account and you want to show other users that you really do care about Steemit! Maybe whales will reward you much more...I don't think that 100 STEEM is the problem! You must be able first to power up because you really want to show your Steemit dedication. Time will tell if users will love the idea or not! We are testing reactions right now, maybe we will change the 100 STEEM, but right now many people love the idea! Thank you for your comment!
And please understand that we are not asking something from you. It is your decision to use our free service or not! You are not giving us your STEEM, you are Powering Up your account!
I like the idea of boosting only people who are pro-steemit, don't get me wrong. I just think the criteria needs to be adjusted. My only income is my computers and servers so unless I make a great steemit post $10 USD is a full week of mining. I can qualify once a week for this if I ignore my bitshares ambitions.
That's fine! Once a week you will show our mini community that you care long term about Steemit. You don't have to be in the list every day!
