Yeah it takes a lot to power up 100 Steem Power in 24 hours...only @ericvancewalton can do that... :-( lame for users like me which are the majority of this platform...how do expect us to be excited?
It takes around 10 USD value at the current price of STEEM. Is that too much to get some attention from other people that care about keeping and growing the value of Steemit? You can keep your STEEM and power up when you have 100 if you want! I see that you already have 80.335 STEEM in your wallet!

So power up 100 steem in 24 hours and you can post a link? I think you need a better model...... The people who need a boost can't buy 100 steem. Thanks for creating a whale love site I guess... How are you supposed to draw people to click through if most of the active steemit community can't participate?
10 USD is not too much if you care about your account and you want to show other users that you really do care about Steemit! Maybe whales will reward you much more...I don't think that 100 STEEM is the problem! You must be able first to power up because you really want to show your Steemit dedication. Time will tell if users will love the idea or not! We are testing reactions right now, maybe we will change the 100 STEEM, but right now many people love the idea! Thank you for your comment!
And please understand that we are not asking something from you. It is your decision to use our free service or not! You are not giving us your STEEM, you are Powering Up your account!
I like the idea of boosting only people who are pro-steemit, don't get me wrong. I just think the criteria needs to be adjusted. My only income is my computers and servers so unless I make a great steemit post $10 USD is a full week of mining. I can qualify once a week for this if I ignore my bitshares ambitions.
That's fine! Once a week you will show our mini community that you care long term about Steemit. You don't have to be in the list every day!
So if I understand correctly, in order to qualify I need to buy 100 SP.
But if I convert or get 100 SP from posts or Powering Up from Steem I received, that does not count, right?
You need to convert 100 STEEM in SP! It does not matter where you get the STEEM from. Hope that helps!

Is the BOOST Points system still working as it was described in your introductory post three months ago? I'm reading posts through the active links and I don't seem to be getting the 1 point reward for it. Also, do we need 50 BOOST Points (along with the 100 Power Up & the posted less than 24 hours ago rule) from the start in order to boost/put the post in the Steem Booster list?
No! BOOST POINTS are active now just for sorting the final STEEM BOOSTER list! Each user gets 5 pionts at signup. For each refferal you will get 100 points! We will announce the new functionallity of STEEM BOOST points next week! Right now there are 2 condition for your post to reach the STEEM BOOSTER list: The post must come from one Steemit user that powered up at least 100 STEEM in the last 24 h and is not powering down at the time of approval! BOOST POINTS are used to sort the final list using one simple rule: The user with the most BOOST POITNS will be the first listed, then all the posts are listed descending based on the number of owned BOOST POINTS!
