"Digital World" is a broad term. What do you mean? Internet? Data-bases? CRM systems? Mobile Devices? Apps? Crypto-Currencies? My experience in all of these areas (either directly or indirectly) is that you have to provide value to people to make money. If you do not provide value, they will spend their time and money elsewhere. And, in so many ways, the digital world is a battle to win people's TIME - to get them to invest it with your creation. And, people have a lot of other opportunities that compete for their time. So, whether you are serious or not isn't as important as whether or not you are creating value. Now, if you're suggesting there are some undisciplined players who prosper, this has proven to be true in all segments of the economy. A lot of poorly trained, undisciplined people have made money flipping houses or trading stocks or even playing pro sports. Here's to making money whether you are serious or not!
