I was going through the steem apps list, and while there are many many great tools there, I'd like to show you a few that really help you optimize your Steem blogging.

1) Optimize your Followers

My theory is that the more followers you have, the more money you make / post. And while this is good, because many people can resteem your post, link it on their website or promote it in other ways, the amount of Steem Power your followers have is also important. I have already asked this as a question, but I found out the answer:

https://steemdb.com

It is essentially a top list of steemers, ranked by whatever you are interested. We are interested in the number of followers and the Steem power our followers have, both are important. So we do this:

https://steemdb.com/@YOURUSERNAME

Check there how much Steem Power you have measured in GigaVests or GV, it shows up at the right side:

Now I see I have that much power, and 189 followers (190 now, but the list is updated every 4 hour only), now go back to the rank list, and let's check how much power my followers have. I am on page 327 now, and it shows: 1.591 GV

So I have 1.591 GV Power of Followers and 190 Number of Followers, you should check yourself too (I wish it would show you the power of your followers on your page, but at least you can see your rankings).

So now our priority is to maintain our followers, and the power of our followers. We certainly don't want to lose 1 big whale follower, and we certainly don't want to lose many small followers either. So when you post a topic, always check your followers's info, and make sure they grow after your posts so that you know you are going in the right direction: SUCCESS ON STEEMIT.

2) Optimize Tags

Your want to have as big audience as you can get, so you want to put popular tags on your topics. So check out this tool:

http://steemroll.io/api-explorer/#method=get_trending_categories&params=[%22%22,%221000%22]

This gets you the top 1000 best categories, and you want to look at the: abs_rshares variable, the more it has the more it can pay out / post on average. So when you are tagging your post, you definitely want to look at the top 10-20 tags available or even put one from the top 5.

You also want to make sure your tags are spelled correctly, 1 small mistake, and it's disaster, you don't want to tag your artistic post with arts but with art, an s in plus and it won't get any audience.

You also don't want to use offtopic tags, because you might get downvotes, however if your post is on topic with major tags, then you should not be afraid to use popular tags instead of small tags.

For example when I talk about economics, I would rather tag that post as money(104874924254073) than economics (-67204091659092) because it is more popular. Even though it fits in both tags and it's not offtopic, I would use money as tag, because it is more popular even though it's somewhat less specific.
