What is Screem
Steem's value comes from its prospects. It is a content creation network that is fit to replace current models of social networking. The first iteration of social networks is steemit. Steemit allows content creators to get paid for well thought out and interesting blog posts. Unfortunately, this does not fit the style of all users. Twitter did not get huge because of well thought out blog posts, it got huge because of witty sentences. I believe this model of social networking can be added to steem as well. This is why I am introducing the pre-alpha of Screem (working title). Screem is a twitter clone that allows users to follow there friends and give them money for making them laugh. As of right now it's soley CLI based but I am looking for a user-interface / web-developer to take it to the next level. This is a very buggy proof of concept, but I believe it can be more as it has economic incentives of steem and all the social incentives of twitter.
Setting up Screem client
- git clone https://github.com/NateBrune/Screem.git
- pip install curses-menu steem-piston
- get posting private key from https://steemit.com/@yourusername/permissions
- Insert it in YOUR_WIF_HERE in screemit.py
- piston set default_author yourusername
- piston set default_voter yourusername

No I need quite a bit of help actually. I hope to build a bit of a community once people start using the client. Right now my primary goal is to build the web interface and wait for some features to be added to piston before it gets really good.
In some ways, an intense name you think of as rotten makes the best possible placeholder. It will attract curiosity and if people tell you they find it too intense, you'll be genuinely open to hearing suggestions. I think this project is really cool and expect will find all the collaboration you could want. Thanks for making such a cool contribution!
How about the steem logo turned horizontal right in front of a stick mans face. Like he's screeming?

I'd suggest adding a #screem tag to users posts, so that they can be filtered easily. It would help users of both interfaces customize their experiences.
This is a great idea! I'll bookmark this and try to set it up when I'm near my computer. Although what made Twitter also popular in the early days was the ability to post via phone! I know it's rudeamentary but worth a shot imo.
