i have a question. when i vote for a post i see their value goes up 1 cent - 0.01. but that 1 cent never seems to leave my account. when i claim rewards my account goes up, but when i vote, my account doesn't go down? how does this work?
The amount of money you give others by voting is not taken from your wallet. There is a reward pool for that.
