We are still early adapters
Just think about when it started with Bitcoin in 2009. And how a pizza costed 10000 BTC way back then. How many years have passed by for that first blockchain technology? All it could do was handle transactions. Still takes 10 minutes per block. And it is 2017...
Steem started about a year ago, it is almost time to celebrate SteemDay. The first birtday for Steem, 24th of march. Can you belief this blockchain did not even have its first birthday?
It is still in beta, developing technology that already is awesome. One block every 3 seconds. And there is so much more possible than only a social media platform with the Steem engine.
It is all just the beginning of an adventure that other coins have to build afterwards. Steem is still like a one year young child that is about to learn how to walk...
And you and I are here to witness this, to be part of it. It only just has begun. And we are still the early adapters.

I can't believe it's almost a year for this site and I got in when it was 4 months and 2 days old...but who's counting? LOL These are very exciting times and I am so glad to be a part of this community.
Sometimes it feels like I'm part of the old furniture already. :-) Feels so much longer than time tells it is.
