Steemit.com - Bright Future as Total Transparency Platform ?

Total Transparency on a World Wide Scale.

Notice: This article has been written for informational and open-discussion purposes only. Steem is a great network where you can prosper by being part of it. There is a lot of beautiful life moments you can be part of, see things you've never seen before, and improve yourself... IF, AND ONLY IF, YOU USE IT PROPERLY!

What I mean when I say "Transparency Platform"... Hmmm. Well, as we all can see, everybody are allowed to post anything. Which brings us to only one conclusion. Steem as modern blockchain - Blogger type of a platform, doesn't have future only as CryptoCurrency and part of new technology, but also as a greatest Database of people around the world and information about them.

Is our data secured/protected ?

No.

  • It's been available to public. It's based on complete Freedom. Which all points to one inevitable fact that will happen in the future. People will have no privacy. We've been all sucked into it by just earning cash, free cash, on a free market. Doing so, people are ready to post anything. Their families, their drug addictions, their fetishes, pains, crimes, personal nudity, etc. Nobody have a glare of sense in his mind that data posted here will not be erased, ever, if Steem have 100% success in next 2 years and maintain their business, as they've done successfully until now.

Is there any Law protecting our privacy?

  • Steem Inc, as US based company goes under tight leash of all Federal Laws, which includes FBI, NSA, CIA, etc... So, as owner of hosting company, I'm well aware that Steem Inc, if in any point gets a warrant from FBI to give all information about some user, they will have to obey. Means that your anonymous location, incorrect details, and everything you ever done to protect yourself goes to Hell.

  • Why? - As from the 90`s, P2P (Peer2Peer) was known technology even during Dial Up. Later on, introduced in .torrent technology which brought us exactly as blockchain did... Decentralized Peer2Peer communication, where files would be stored everywhere around the world, and people would be able to share files between themselves using available pools and their locally encrypted folders/files through Hash encryption.

  • Was that bullet proof? - You can see over the past how many raids, closures, and arrests has been made due to copyright infringement of what were people sharing. How many torrent websites were taken down. So, that decentralized technology was not safe for anyone. Pools were able to be traced, even users by their IP's allocated from their ISP's were arrested at their homes, ending up in jail or paying fines.

No password recovery

  • It's just a bullshit marketing move to let you feel more safe and secured. Steem does have a SteemSQL which stores and handles all your information, as well as your hash passwords. Anyone having access to that SQL database is able to retrieve your HASH keys, posts, logins, dates, etc... and retrieve them easily. But, they won't because it's to much data to be scraped, and for end user it would be requesting additional access to SQL which would be security flaw directly to Steem.

So they do protect us, but they also keep secrets from us.

Be warned. Be Careful. Respect Limits of Yourself as well as Others

  • My personal opinion is that Steemit.com has great chances to within 2 years become a transparency platform. Where everybody are with no secrets. By making addiction to create cash from nothing, some of people are ready to post anything. That post cannot be edited after payout. That post will not be deleted in few years. Or ever. As long as there is Steem Inc.
  • Being ranked by Alexa so high and in direct communication with Google, any of your post, keyphrase, sentence you've used authentically can be found easily through search. If not Steem Google Search, than just Google's original search. Don't think bad things can be hidden or safe in this network.

My final advise to all Steemians reading this

  1. Post Authentic Content where you retain/have proof of your Copyright 100%
  2. Do not flame to others, make threats and disobey any Laws there are in the World
  3. Do not post any Criminal, Adult or Offensive Content from your profile - You can be deactivated, prosecuted, sentenced and very unhappy just in order to generate few bucks.
  4. Source your content properly if it's not yours.
  5. Try to not display ever in your life any detail, photograph or information which can lead other offender (here maybe infiltrated on Steem already) to you directly in real life.
  6. Do NOT EVER THINK THAT YOU ARE ABOVE THE SYSTEM. Whatever the System is.

Thanks for reading and SteemON!

Sincerely yours,
