[ENG] Why is Steem market price so low? // [ITA] Perchè le quotazioni di Steem sono così basse?

Un saluto a tutti,

la blockchain di Steem ormai si avvicina a sostenere il suo ventunesimo Hard Fork (che ricordo avverrà il giorno 21 Agosto) che promette grossissime novità in grado di cambiare gli equilibri della piattaforma.
Inoltre la timeline del rilascio degli SMT ha avuto una netta accelerata e ora punta alla loro emissione per il mese di settembre del corrente anno (tempo che ovviamente potrà subire delle variazioni per eventuali imprevisti, ma che vengono quantificate nell'ordine dei giorni e non dei mesi).
Questo significa solo una cosa: il team di sviluppo sta lavorando bene, sottolineerei molto meglio di quanto non ha fatto nei precedenti 3 anni di esistenza della blockchain.

Alla luce di tutto questo, verrebbe da chiedersi: perchè le quotazioni di steem sono così basse e quanto influisce su di loro la fase ribassista del mercato delle criptovalute?

Oggi non vorrei dilungarmi tantissimo sui discorsi che attengono al valore reale della nostra blockchain, in quanto nei precedenti posts ho affrontato largamente questi aspetti.
Le novità ci sono state, ci sono tutt'ora e ci saranno nel futuro prossimo, quindi non parliamo di una blockchain a un punto morto o che si trova in difficoltà tali da spiegare la stagnazione delle quotazioni dello steem. La qualità c'è ed è tanta e a quanto mi ha detto l'amico @fedesox, programmare un'applicazione su Steem è relativamente semplice.

Altro aspetto da non sottovalutare è la presenza di vertice delle DApps che si appoggiano sulla bockchain di Steem nella classifica di stateofthedapps.com (fonte):

• 3 DApps nelle prime 10 nella classifica generale: Steemit (2°) Steem Monsters (5°) e Next Colony (6°)
• 7 DApps nelle prime 20 nella classifica generale: Dtube (11°) SteemHunt (13°) Partiko (14°) eSteem (18°)

Le cose si fanno interessanti nella classifica riguardante le DApps social dove Steem piazza 8 DApps nelle prime 10 nella classifica, di le cui prime 5 DApps appartengono a Steem (fonte)

Questo dimostra che l'interesse degli utenti è fortemente focalizzato su Steem, che può proporre DApps di sicuro impatto tali da portare gli utenti ad utilizzarle.

E quindi? Perchè le quotazioni non salgono?

Secondo me ci sono pochi dubbi sulle cause: sebbene gli utenti sono attratti dall'offerta della blockchain di Steem la stessa non riesce ad attrarre gli investitori. Senza di questi, il valore delle quotazioni sul mercato delle criptovalute non potrà mai salire a patto di altre fasi come quella vissuta tra la fine del 2017 e l'inizio del 2018.

Per ora credo ci siano solo due categorie di persone che stanno acquistando Steem: chi crede fortemente nelle potenzialità della piattaforma (tra cui rientro anche io) e chi è qui solo per speculare (compro basso e vendo alto, oppure acquisto tanti steem per poi farli fruttare grazie agli strumenti offerti dalla blockchain).

Portare gli investitori all'interno della blockchain ormai non è più una questione di "valore" della stessa ma piuttosto un problema di offrire un'immagine seria e solida di Steem.
Purtroppo da questo punto di vista sono stati commessi tanti (forse troppi) errori in passato da parte di Steemit Inc che hanno minato la fiducia e l'interesse degli investitori.
Finito l'Hype derivante dalla novità che Steem rappresentava, si è visto che dietro c'era poco altro se non tante promesse non mantenute e qui ritorna il mio discorso, cioè che si è fatto molto più negli ultimi 6 mesi che in tutti e tre gli anni precedenti.

Adesso Steemit Inc sta lavorando molto meglio dopo aver concentrato gli sforzi sulle cose realmente necessarie, aver ridotto i costi e costituito un team molto più qualificato per gli obiettivi che s'intendevano raggiungere.
Il problema è che quando si è decisa a farlo, l'immagine pubblica era ormai compromessa (soprattutto tra quegli investitori che tanto servirebbero adesso) e come è ovvio immaginare è più facile conquistare l'attenzione partendo da zero con un'idea nuova che cercare di riguadagnare la fiducia persa per colpe che non si possono imputare ad altri che a se stessi.

Quindi ora cosa dovremmo aspettarci?

Io penso che sia solo una questione di tempo, perchè Steem parte da una base davvero solida; se si mantenessero le promesse fatte e senza avere intoppi troppo importanti, sarebbe un bel modo per dimostrare a quegli investitori che le cose sono cambiate e forse Steem meriti una seconda chance.

Il tempo sarà anche fondamentale per far si che l'intero mercato delle criptovalute riprenda vigore; infatti per gli investitori interessati a investire nelle criptovalute e nelle blockchain vedere questa fase di calo costante delle capitalizzazioni di mercato rapprensenta un sicuro deterrente per pensare di mettere i propri soldi in esse.

Ecco, ancora una volta tutto si focalizza sul tempo; in questo momento è importante costruire e lavorare sia per noi utenti interessati a creare un buon wallet, sia per gli sviluppatori interessati a offrire qualcosa su cui gli investitori poi dovrebbero mettere i propri fondi.

Steem's blockchain is now approaching its twenty-first Hard Fork (which I will remember on August 21st) which promises very big news that can change the balance of the platform.
Furthermore, the timeline of the SMT release has accelerated sharply and now points to their issue for the month of September of the current year (a time that obviously may be subject to variations due to possible unforeseen events, but which are quantified in the order of days and not of the months).
This means only one thing: the development team is working well, I would emphasize much better than it did in the previous 3 years of the blockchain existence.

In light of all this, one might wonder: why are steem quotations so low and how much does the bearish phase of the cryptocurrency market affect them?

Today I would not want to dwell so much on the speeches that pertain to the real value of our blockchain, since in the previous posts I have dealt with these aspects widely.
The news has been there, there are still and there will be in the near future, so we are not talking about a deadlock or a blockchain that is in difficulty such as to explain the stagnation of steem prices. There is a lot of quality and as far as my friend @fedesox told me, programming an application on Steem is relatively simple.

Another aspect not to be underestimated is the presence at the top of the DApps that rely on Steem's bockchain in the stateofthedapps.com ranking. (source):

• 3 DApps in the top 10 in the overall standings: Steemit (2nd) Steem Monsters (5th) and Next Colony (6th)
• 7 DApps in the top 20 in the overall standings: Dtube (11th) SteemHunt (13th) Partiko (14th) eSteem (18th)

Things get interesting in the ranking regarding the social DApps where Steem places 8 DApps in the top 10 in the ranking, of which the first 5 DApps belong to Steem (source)

This shows that the interest of the users is strongly focused on Steem, which can propose DApps of certain impact such as to lead users to use them.

So what? Why don't the prices go up?

In my opinion there are few doubts about the causes: although the users are attracted by the offer of the Steem blockchain the same is not able to attract investors. Without these, the value of quotations on the cryptocurrency market will not never come up on other phases like the one experienced between the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018.

For now I believe there are only two categories of people who are buying Steem: those who strongly believe in the potential of the platform (including me) and who is here only to speculate (I buy low and I sell high, or I buy many steems for then make them maximaze profit thanks to the tools offered by the blockchain).

Bringing investors into the blockchain is no longer a question of "value" but rather a problem of offering a serious and solid image of Steem.
Unfortunately from this point of view many (perhaps too many) mistakes were made in the past by Steemit Inc that undermined the trust and interest of investors.
After the hype resulting from the novelty that Steem represented, we saw that behind it there was little else but so many broken promises and here my speech returns, that is that much more has been done in the last 6 months than in all three previous years.

Now Steemit Inc is working much better after concentrating its efforts on the things that are really necessary, reducing costs and creating a much more qualified team for the objectives that they intended to achieve.
The problem is that when they decided to do so, the public image was now compromised (especially among those investors who would be of much use now) and it is obvious to imagine it is easier to gain attention starting from scratch with a new idea than to look for to regain the trust lost due to faults that cannot be attributed to others but to themselves.

So now what should we expect?

I think it's just a matter of time, because Steem starts from a really solid base; if you keep the promises made and without too much trouble, it would be a nice way to show those investors that things have changed and maybe Steem deserves a second chance.

Time will also be essential to ensure that the entire cryptocurrency market regains vigor; in fact, for investors interested in investing in cryptocurrencies and blockchains, seeing this phase of constant decline in market capitalisations represents a sure deterrent for thinking about putting their money in them.

Here, once again everything is focused on time, at this time it is important to build and work for both us users interested in creating a good wallet, and for developers interested in offering something that investors should then put their own funds.
