Bandwidth problems to be addressed in HF20

in #steem6 years ago

In my last post I have given a concrete example of bandwidth limitations of a low Steem Powered account. If you watched the comment section, I promised to come back with another article to describe how this is going to be addressed by the developers from Steemit Incorporated.

This issue has been opened with the number 1800 and it is discussed here so if you are curious about how they decide to implement it, you can follow the discussion there. By now it wasn't reached a clear status on how it is going to be implemented so there is still room for modifications.

A dedicated card for this has been made and assigned to the H20 project from their github

There it is on the second position of the features to be implemented in the To Do list

I now it has the title Current bandwidth calculations allow low powered accounts to spam easily but the discussion behind it is regarding complex implementation which includes different bandwidth for upvotes and transactions and bandwidth for posts, because the latter ones require more actual bandwidth. What I can say is that it is not an easy job to do and if you have any suggestions about how this could be implemented, I encourage you to join the discussion on github or just leave a comment and I will try to pass it on for you.

Steem on!
