The approval email can take longer sometimes. If they haven't seen it yet, let them wait on.
anon.steem.network is a way to send 5 steem to open an account immediately.
steamcreate.com allows you to open a steem account with a credit card.
Steemit.com website is slow but let's you open for free.
You can create them an account here for 6 steem. https://blocktrades.us/create-steem-account
You can use SteemConnect to set up an account. Here is a link to a good TUTORIAL on how to set up accounts.
