Steem Me Up Scotty - Steem Price Is Rising
It looks like the price of Steem is rebounding in anticipation of the hard fork scheduled to happen on December 6th, 2016.
It seems that more people are buying Steem today while the price is still low. It's going to be interesting to see what will happen after the changes are made.
Personally I'm staying in for the long run as I believe in the platform. Plus it's so much fun interacting with everyone here on Steemit.
The more I learn about Steemit and cryptocurrencies in general, the more I see the long term benefits of growing this with this experiment.
Today I reached 8000 Steem Power completely using sweat equity and leveraging mutual support from the community.
Thanks to everyone on the Steemit platform for inviting me to this wonderful game called Steemit.
Have you also noticed the price of the Steem Dollar has been hovering at about $1-1.03 USD for the last week or so. pegged to the USD as intended. That's very impressive.
I've been reading everyone's opinions about what the new changes will mean to the platform, the users and the investors. There seems to be a lot of speculation but tell me...

While I liked the lower price, to earn the steem power quickly, but with higher Steem prices, it would be psychologically easier for a lot of people (myself included).
Impressive feat luzcy getting that 8k sp! Interesting how you mentioned steemit being a game. I don't know how I feel about that, but I guess when money becomes involved, everything changes, even social media, but for good or bad?
When one really digs deeper into it, money is a game as well.

I'm anticipating a week long bubble before a crash tuesday week when the first 1/13th powerdowns get sold for christmas dosh... But I don't think it will crash as low as it is now.

That's my initial thought too. However, if enough folks are thinking the same thing, the market usually defies them. :)

I, too, have noticed the price rise, and have been wondering if it had anything to do with the hard fork.
It's certainly an exciting time to be on Steemit, no matter what happens.
That said, even a modest increase in the price of Steem could fill some members' coffers to overflowing. A price drop would have some benefits, but I'm gunning for a moonshot (relative to previous Steem highs, I mean).

I have been enjoying the charts for Steem and Steem Dollar lately. If we do drop on the Hard Fork, at least we'll fall from greater heights. December 6th should be an interesting day!
