I just joined moonbot :), steemfollower took a couple of weeks using it, I did not like the idea of voting post bad, that's why there are days that I make only 5 votes in the app, but still I will continue using it because if I received good votes.
You need referrals to receive higher upvotes. Besides that, you can use the follow for follow to quickly increase your follower number.
I try to write posts because almost no English and I guess few people vote me posts in Spanish
You have better chances to receive an upvote with English posts.
I can risk doing it because it's not a bad idea, hoping that the translator does not play me wrong
