I'm Buying a Car with Steem!!!
My husband and I just bought a house this year. But the mortgage is a bit steep, so for now we share a car. We both work, we have 3 kids in school and sports, and there's shopping and other errands. I'm just saying, the one-car thing is getting old.
Sooooooo.....! We agreed I would buy a car using my steemit earnings!
Here is a picture of the car I will be buying. It's a nice little Buick SUV with some bells and whistles for the kids.
And this is the user I will be buying it from! @mistermercury
He has already agreed to sell it to me for $200 SBD (or whatever translates to $1,000 USD at point of sale). He bought it from an auction, so I'm getting a good deal. (And he's my dad, so we've checked out the car together). But he's accepting SBD for payment!
So my next goal: save up steem to buy a car!
If you upvote this post, I'll be able to put it toward my purchase! How many people can say they bought a car with STEEM?

There's an ongoing joke on a forum I visit. Whenever people sell cypto to buy cars the first comment is"Enjoy your depreciating asset"!
It's kind of a mean comment but steeped in tradition: people sold btc/eth/etc 2 years ago to buy cars...they might regret it to this day while the car will just lose it;s value.
On the other side, you need to enjoy your life and if you do not use yoru crypto for that, then what's the actual point?!
If you need the car, get it. But it might be wise to wait longer, who knows what this little steem engine could deliver in the future ( of course, it could be nothing! )

It is very true. I thought about that as well. But I think I'm going to enjoy my depreciating asset, all the same. I hate to give up the steem. I know it will be worth something. Then again, I'm OK with it. Money comes and goes. I'm of the mind that it come more than it goes.
