Steem Trading Volume has nearly doubled - are we seeing wide adoption soon?
Steam is catching more interest and adoption from traders it seems.
The last couple of days, the trading volume was around 400 to 550K, it has in the last 2-3 days jumped to 900K to 1.500.000 USD per day.
In the attached picture you can see that Steem Trading Volume is still minor compared to ETH or BTC.
As the user numbers are growing, i am sure, that the Steem Trading Volume will soon Skyrocket !
What do you guys / girls think about this? Is Steem to surpass Ethereum soon as the second largest Cryptocurrency?
I think it'll happen. Steemit is currently in invite only due to having too much traffic trying to sign up over the last few days. I don't think the dev's even expected it to take off like this. Once they release the hold on that invitation, this place is going to the moon. We're really lucky we got in early. i like the fact, that the developers are wise enough to put a invite only in place to protect the platform.
it would be more harmful, if the platform went down for a couple of hours or days...
just a little datapoint, my friend put his name on the waiting list yesterday and was approved today!

Maybe they just got more trust in Steem?
i think the more users signup, the more traction steemit and steem get, the more the value and transaction value will rise.
the question is, if we already reached a tipping point of the growth, where the mouth to mouth is pooring so many users in, that we will see a hockey stick growth !
