Lately I found the Steem/Dogecoin ratio went crazy, there's got to be an explanation why Doge has steadily risen while most everything else is in the red. Block traded some Doge piles for Steem and powered up 100%.

Sounds like you found a loophole and were able to score some cheap Steem. Good for you! That's how it's done. :)
The heart of the matter is that a Doge/Ethereum bridge is under construction making Doge tokens available on the Ethereum block chain thus driving up the value of this Meme coin, who knew it would go this far? As if this comment, Doge has been the only coin in the green of all the top twenty crypto currencies. May exchange another 5k of Doge for Steem tommorow.
See, you figured it out! Being that Doge is just a meme, if it's worth something now, might as well get some Steem for it. I think Steem has better chances of being worth something in the long-run. That's not investment advice though. Just my opinion.
