5 Unique Traits to Earn Rewards on DTube

Hey there friend.

It's Ken @kenmelendez coming to you from the great outdoors today. It is 82 degrees and sunny in northeast Ohio and I'm out getting some much needed exercise.

I've been thinking about rewards on DTube and how amazing it is that we as content creators, have the opportunity to earn for doing what we love.

Today I want to share with you the 5 unique traits to earn rewards on @dtube. Let's jump right into them.

Trait #1 - Post Quality Content

Post videos that add value to someone else. Make them laugh, make them cry (tears of joy), or teach them something that they can then implement and take action on.

For my content, I often gain experience in a particular topic, and then teach what I've learned in my own words and in my own style.

Usually, quality content consists of videos that last a minimum of 45 seconds to a minute. Also, the type of lighting and the sound quality is important.

Use equipment such as an iPhone 7 that will give amazing video quality as well as great sound (a flip phone won't cut it). This will ensure that your message is clearly communicated to your audience.

Trait #2 - Post Consistently

If you take a look at the vloggers who are earning rewards on a regular basis, they are posting videos everyday, every other day, or sometimes multiple times per day.

Find a schedule that works for you and then stick to it. For me right now, I post one video per day, usually in the mornings. The key is to get into a routine where you can be consistent.

When you are being consistent in your posting, your audience will know when to expect your content, and will be prepared to consume that content.

Consistency is the trait where you will start to see momentum picking up in your rewards, as well as an increase in your follower base.

Trait #3 - Spread Positivity

The world is ridden with negativity. Be a light in the darkness and spread your positive attitude. Trust me, you will get noticed.

When you are being positive and upbeat, you will attract others who are positive and upbeat. Like attracts like as the saying goes.

One of the goals in shooting videos is to grow an audience. When people know, like, and trust you, they are more likely to keep coming back to your channel.

Being positive is a great trait to possess, as it causes others to naturally be attracted to you and to your message. DTube will see you sharing a positive message and be more inclined to vote on your content.

Trait #4 - Keep Innovating

Videos are works of art. They can be crafted in many different ways using many different methods. This is the trait that causes you to open up your creative mind and think of new ways to share your message.

With that being said, try not to stick to one video format. For example, if you shoot 10 videos strait while sitting in front your laptop camera with a white wall behind you, then it is time to switch your format. Try going outside or even moving to a different room with a different background.

Another great way to innovate is to come up with a video series. I have a friend, Lea @coruscate, who does a series called the Steem Sister Show with @maryjaney. It's quite entertaining and informative.

A series that I recently started is called Steemian Shout Outs where I choose a Steemian who does quality work on a consistent basis and I create an exclusive vlog featuring their account.

Keep innovating the way you share your content and you will be rewarded.

Trait #5 - Personal Growth

For those of you who follow my channel, you know that my main gig is talking about personal growth and self-development.

The reason I discuss this topic, is because it has caused the greatest shift in my life, to the point where I now have the right mindset to succeed as a vlogger.

When you work on yourself and grow your skill sets, everything begins to change. In order for your results to change, you first need to change your habits as well as the thoughts that go through your head.

This can be achieved through reading books, watching educational videos, and through emulating other's actions.

Find a mentor who has the results that you want, and follow in their footsteps. Take the actions that they are taking in order to get the results that you desire.

When you grow, your rewards are naturally going to grow as well. Not only that, but you will become more valuable and more attractive, which will allow you to earn even more as you develop your own products or services that add value to others.
