The Morning Edition of Cryptocurrency Novice Report for January 18
Welcome to the Morning Edition of Cryptocurrency Novice Report for January 18, 2018.
As usual we start off by asking that all investment professionals please leave the room. Take you charts and graphs and Ouija boards and go find a more knowledgeable crowd to speak to. This report is produced by and intended for people who know absolutely nothing cryptocurrency investing.
The Report
Yay! The sky did not fall after all. What a difference a day makes. Yesterday the air was full of gloom, doom and fud. Everyone was convinced the crypto world was coming to an end. But today it's all sunshine and roses as Bitcoin and the other top 100 cryptocurrencies are all in the green, with most posting double or even triple digit gains.
Bitcoin had a big turnaround last night and is currently up over 21% in the last 24 hours. This kind of momentum is hard to stop, so I think Bitcoin will continue up for a while still.
Steem is having a great day! In addition to once again being a BILLION DOLLAR COIN, Steem is up over 50% in the last 24 hours while SBD is up over 38%. Both prices are being positively affected by Bitcoin's dramatic rise and should continue up as long as Bitcoin is surging.
As for the amount of liquid Steem, since it takes at least 7 days to power down Steem, we won't see any dramatic increase in the supply of Steem this rally may cause for at least a week. Remember, the long term trend is a reduction in the supply of liquid Steem, which should cause the price of Steem and SBD to continue to move up.
