TO Invest or NOT to Invest?

Steem prices keep on climbing against Bitcoin with just the other day reaching highs into the 60k range. This entire market looks quite familiar to how everything reacted last June/July, which if the trend continues, Steem could reach a new All Time High $usd value. In terms of Steem/Btc, that 100k sat area has been a tough one to surpass the couple times it reached it. But that range is quickly getting within sight being right there on the horizon.

This Steem rally has been a great treat for Steemit posting. The post rewards are nice and community interaction is reaching peak levels. There is still a great long way to go and the journey has been amazing. We can finally say that Steemit is here to stay -

The question is:

Will Steem vs. BTC keep rising if Bitcoin starts to rally again?

I finally had some investments worth a nice amount of bitcoins get released into the markets. After trimming down the accounts I have a fairly nice pile of BTC, some I sold for cash... probably more than I really know what to do with. Its amazing what a couple bitcoins invested at $3,000/each can turn into when BTC is now 4x more - Simply Unreal!
I guess the idea was to start doing some cool shit like start a travel blog and travel the world with bitcoins. Kind of need a nice camera, gopro, and maybe that Lamborghini I have always dreamed about... Oh yes, and pay the F*%Kin government some taxes. Definitely don't want to be playing games with them now that I actually have the opportunity to do so.

Anyways, the other pile of BTC i'm somewhat torn on what to do with it. I typically never hold bitcoin... Its always tied down into some alt-coin somewhere. I tend to invest the extra into ICO's, but nowadays, all the ICO's require KYC compliance and that excludes U.S. investors which is ultimately ME. So investing into ICO's are pretty tough.
The other thought is that Bitcoin is starting to recover from a large sell-off. All the alt-coins rallied significantly during this time with Steem being of no exception. If Bitcoin is on its road to ATH again, the alt-coins could see a shift in the markets and start selling off.

What would you do?

  • Invest into SteemPower at the peak of a rally?
  • or Hold onto the trusty Bitcoin and hope alts collapse for stronger buying power?

My vote - which you should take with a fair grain of salt - would be to invest in alts! EOS, BTS, STEEM are my three go tos in my portfolio. I think BTC gains are going to be choppy going forward bc of the all the institutional money flooding in. The introduction of futures has already created volatility. Everytime a futures contract is close to expiring, BTC has tended to fall on heavy institutional investing. Alt coins on the other hand are still somewhat "untouched" and offer deeper long-term business value!

one of the biggest opportunities since the invention of the internet itseif....great times to be around..............................
