[GIVING BACK] How steemit changed the overall value proposition for Kloudery

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

My introduction is as of yet incomplete, but "flowerpot-spacefrog" must go on!

I doubt too many people here know this, but I've spent the last ~1.3 years trying to make a generic-enough container platform. It's been done for some time now, but we lack a front end and some of the essential user stories surrounding the use of our product. We've gone out and collected some at various times, but there's the "user story" and often against that is... and besides, the steem blockchain began paying me as much as I could earn from our docker platform, at least in the immediate sense That said, Idid not want to just toss the thing aside, that seems pretty stupid.

User Stories

Plus, I've come to appreciate the value of user stories and the way they should shape sales process flows on e-commerce sites. While working with free customers here on Steemit, I intend to develop the user storeis in our collection and record problems that users encounter.

Scale

Scale is essential when dealing in web services. Running 10,000 services is no different for us than 32,000 services right now, because of our application architecture and fairly decent bare metal servers, hosted at an unnamed ISP (not named because cannot recommend with full vigor due to outdated system images-- no, they're not outdated anymore #goodbye,8hoursofmylife.com#. So we get some scale out of this, too.

What if everyone wants one?

We'll give it to e'm.

And if everyone wants two?

Ditto.

If Steemit experiences more hockey-stick, and somehow we have to cry uncle, we wil tell you that but if steemit continues hypergrowth, then in fact everything should be A-okay regardless.

Atypical economics for lunch anyone?

So there you have it. Joining steemit on @fuzzyvests's reccomendation transformed my business, and possibly my life. Among the users who've been here for >1 how many of you can tell me that Steemit hasn't caused a change in your thinking on one thing or another.... My next post is going to hopefully make it clear exactly what I'm offering to the community. In the past, it wouldn't have made any sense to behave in this manner, but I guess you could say that I am being actually competing for people's attention and the opportunity to sell to them after speaking with them about their problems. Steemit and its accompanying economy are not like past economies, and that is a wonderful thing.

SYNOPSIS

If you are a steemian wanting a web application hosted, we will host it for you free of charge, provided that your use of that web app is at least tangentially steemit related and isn't for mining. We'll also help get that application into a docker container, free of charge. This is not a limited time trial. Interested parties should contact Jake on hangouts ([email protected]) or by phone (+84 96 111 3075). You can use SMS on that phone number, also.
