Hello steemit community, today I want to share with you all the secrets to make a lady's wallet without sewing, with the cardboard technique.

CARTINAJE TECHNIQUE:

Consists of making utilitarian and decorative objects using as a base the cardboard, which can be painted, lined with paper, cardboard or fabric, can also be combined with the spatula technique, among other techniques.

Tools and Materials Needed:

• Cardboard 2 in Kilo.
• Craft paper.
• White paste (the one used by carpenters).
• Fabrics of your choice
• Small foam roller.
• Two 2 cm diameter magnet brooches.
• Tirro
• Silicone spatula
• Flat brush, hard bristle
• Exact
• Scissors
• Rule
• Pencil



Process:
Step 1
In the cardboard 2 in Kilo cut a rectangle of 28 cm x 25 cm for the internal part and another rectangle of 27 cm x 25 cm for the external part.



It is necessary to create a slight curvature in each of the cartons, to generate this curvature we can help with the edge of a table, passing it a couple of times or more if necessary.

Step 2
With the chosen fabrics (preferably 2 fabrics that combine with each other), cut two rectangles of 34 cm x 30 cm to line the inside and outside of the portfolio.

Step 3
Now we go to the lining of cardboard boxes 2 in Kilo, both from the inside (27 cm x 25 cm) and from the outside of our portfolio (28 cm x 25 cm):
To do this, apply white glue on the cardboard and spread over the entire surface with a flat brush of hard bristle, then remove the excess glue by passing a roller of foam to prevent stains on the fabric.

Step 4
One of the rectangles of cloth is placed on the table, with the upside down, and then the cardboard with the glue is placed on the cloth, trying to center it. Then cut at an angle each of the equines 0.5 mm from the fabric. This step is very important to achieve a better finish.

Step 5
Around the cardboard should be a piece of cloth about 2 cm approximately that will double and make it firm to the lining (This step can be done with the help of a silicone spatula).

Once the folded sides of the fabric are glued, the cardboard is turned over and the silicone spatula is passed, ensuring that the fabric is fully stretched (without bubbles and without wrinkles). This step is repeated for both rectangles.

Step 6
Once both sides are lined, we take the 27 cm x 25 cm lined rectangle that will be the inner part of the portfolio and fold it slightly with fabric inside, we can help with a piece of tirro to keep it, so it will be easier to place the side of the portfolio ie the fabrics that we bend and iron in Step 2.

Step 7
To place the magnetized brooches we must measure with a ruler 6 cm from the edge of the side of the internal part inwards, then 2 cm from the top edge down, we indicate with a ballpoint pen or marker a point to indicate the location of the brooch, this Procedure is done on both sides when our wallet carries two pins.

At this moment we must decide if we want the wallet model to have a chain to hang, then we put two strips of the same fabric bent about 2 cm from the location of the pins, which will allow to place the rings and the chain.

Step 8
Finally we put enough white glue to stick the two parts of the wallet, first we close the inner part with its clasps and facing the sides of the wallet we stick and hold the edges with tirro, we wait between 6 or 8 hours for drying depending on climate of the place where you are.
