Happy Birthday Steemit!!!
I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported my writing throughout this past year. There are going to be no pictures in this post because I want to merely express my feelings on this momentous day.
This incredible platform that @ned and @dan launched a year ago has changed many lives for the better, including mine. I also thank you, @steemed, for your mentorship. Thank you to @stellabelle for telling me about the platform. @fairlytalelife, @natureofbeing, @roelandp, @voronoi, @the-alien, @pfunk, @macksby for your friendship and support. So many people have had a positive impact on me here there are far too many to list individually, so I’m sorry if I didn’t.
Most of you know my story, I’d been writing for over two decades before I came here. Very honestly, I had just about run out of steam (no pun intended.) I had launched a novel on Amazon a year before that I poured my heart and soul into. After the flurry of initial interest, sales were sputtering. In my eyes, this novel was my coup d'état, my one final push. I was getting weary and was beginning to doubt my dream of writing for a living would ever happen. I felt like a "has been", or more accurately like a "never was."
Along came Steemit and it seemed like every lesson I learned from the past twenty years I could apply here. It was as though, for once in my life I was at the right place at the right time. I’m not exaggerating when I say this platform has breathed new life into both me and my writing career. It has proven to me, time and time again that everything in this universe happens for a reason.
Each morning I get out of bed excited to log on to read your comments and to learn new things and gain different perspectives from your posts. Steemit has given me so much and I intend to pay it forward in any way I can. There are times when the events of the past year don't even seem real.
I have some very exciting things to share with you all in the coming year! As my writing career continues to grow I will be Steemit’s biggest advocate. The future of this platform is blindingly bright...we’re just getting started here!

That's very beautiful of you to find such kind words for me. I am truly humbled and yes I will continue to " steem" . It's been such fun times so far.
I want thank you for getting me started my old friend . We have been through a lot together . Publishing two children's books written by you and illustrated by me . Our trips to Chicago on shoe string budget . Those crazy things that happened to us when we were there , the side busting laughs we had watching people do stupid shit . Being on WCCO NEWS at the Tea Source in Saint Paul MN . The sky is the limit keep reaching for the stars .
@luckyfellow, brother is a better title for you than friend. We've made so many good memories in the past 17 years. We've definitely paid our dues and have taken the long, winding road to success but I'm glad we're arriving together. I wouldn't trade the memories for anything. You're doing great, this is going to be your year.
