I am just from checking out my incoming post pay out rewards and I have to say I am speechless. Like totally speechless. If the intention of the rewards system change was to chase away content creators, I think we can say the Hardfork was very successful, in-fact, it might be the most successful hardfork yet!
So, as highlighted on this screenshot from my steemworld account, out of incoming posts payout worth $143, I only get $32 as a content creator. What in the world is this nonesense?
Most of you know I've been doing this fulltime Steeming for close to an year now, but I think it's gotten to a point where being here is no-longer viable, at least not right now, so I might actually stop putting in so much effort into my blog or perhaps take a break or perhaps just do shorter posts and less vlogs as I need to focus my energy else where.
It's rather unfortunate to see this place running to the ground, this I think is by far the gravest mistakes this platform has made. Creating a less earning environment for creators only forces them to leave, and no investor is going to roll up millions of dollars into a project that is quickly losing users than it is gaining them. People focus so much on the "investors"and "ROI" and forget that the success of any platform is determined by the number of users. Facebook or Instagram would not be where they are if they didn't have any users, yet, it seems like that is a concept that Steem is still struggling to understand. The more you drive away creators, the closer this platform gets to it's death.
But since nobody cares about my opinion or for any other creator for that matter, it's about time to re-strategize and think out the box, or perhaps throw away the damn box altogether. I never thought I'd say this, but I cannot wait to see what Dan Larimer's VOICE has to offer, perhaps he finally cracked how to deal with the struggles Steem is currently experiencing hence a very much welcome Steemit 2.0*

Unfortunately @dtube is still taking a beneficiary fee so you lost more there.
What can i say... I knew it was going to happen. We need to wait a few more weeks and see how this all plays out. Hopefully @freedom and guys like him that delegate massive amounts to bots decide to start voting people now that bots will hopefully bite the dust.

It is what it is. Creators like you will have to adapt the most. I dont have to adapt much since i never really earned anything from content.
I mean one of the reasons i cant get silentscreamer to post consistently is because it is a waste of time for her and for me since i edit some of her stuff. Takes too much time and effort to get, like what, 2$ per post if Dtube votes her.
I dont know what this means in the long run but consistent posting is i think going away unless youre really popular.
I have noticed a lot of the consistent creators have stopped doing the most. I remember when I started Silentscreamer used to post a lot,also Coruscate, but down the line all that enthusiasm has gone down. I guess it gets to a point where you have to focus else where if you are not getting the desired results. If the bid bots die out altogther it would be a great start to new steem, but doubt it!
We'll see.
Well the price went down and now they cut the rewards massively which is why it became a waste of time for her.
She will do a song here and there for fun but when we record stuff we have to drive for 20 mins to the location, she has to first find the songs, then learn the songs, print the text, set everything up for 20-30 minutes, then shoot 3-4 songs for 1-2 hours, then edit each video for an hour, then edit the audio for another hour, write the text, post it.. Takes a lot of time.
We tried to convince ourselves its like a trip we do once a week but its really just a job.
Its a complete waste of time since the Steem views the video gets are under 10. The other 90 she would get on average were from facebook.
So really she just wants to do stuff like the Lion King video that can get couple thousand views on Youtube.
We will see who sticks around.

I don't think that would be true, what use would the platform be? I don't know much about it either, but I am curious to see what it has to offer. I might start looking into Holding other alts actually, Steem is pretty much all I Hold.

I think that steemworld is overstating the curations rewards. At least when I see my curation rewards it over-calculates the payout by a lot. Plus you need to take into consideration that a good chunk of your rewards is going to dtube.
