STEEM BTFO! Great start to the new year!
STEEM is making all-time highs today topping out at a little over $8 today and currently sitting in the $5.70s. Twas a pleasant surprise waking up to these gains. Had I started blogging earlier, I would have called out my entry on 12/28.
STEEM's previous highs in June was sitting in the $2.60-2.80 and my plan was to pickup 50% of my position in that area hoping it would drop some more before picking up the rest of the position. STEEM never closed below $2.60 but gave us one last chance on 12/30 to get in before breaking out to start the new year. Talk about instant gratification...
I will continue to build my long term portfolio in the following months, accumulating coins that I won't be afraid to 'baghold' and ride out the draw downs. Current allocation is about 60% long term, 40% swing trading. I will post upcoming swing trade opportunities, starting with Verge, XVG:
I like the entry on XVG anywhere in the 10-14c range. Looks like it's consolidating for the next move up.
I'm also going to continue to update the '12/15 portfolio' with @cryptographic's positions. My actual portfolio will be judged against that initial portfolio as I will blog and use best practices in managing the '12/15' portfolio, which is +130% in a little less than 3 weeks! INCREDIBLE....

Congrats on a great entry for STEEM - definitely a nice way to start off the year with this latest breakout and new ATHs. Keeping my eyes on STEEM to see how far it can run in 2018.
Also looking forward to hearing your thoughts on XRP in the near future. I believe it has a lot of potential for more growth and gains to made along the way.

XRP looks like it's headed to the moon, especially with the rumors of it coming to GDAX. XVG is a swing trade for me, not sure how long I'll hold it, but would love to see it take off from the 20c range and hold above. If it blows off, maybe this will become a longer term hold for me.

Nothing goes straight up and remember there'll always be a pullback/correction. Just stay patient and ready when the market provides opportunities.
Granted, ever since I started following positions on 12/15 - everything just grinded up, up, and away. I wouldn't mind a more significant pullback so I can load up some more!

since BTC is the on and off ramp, it should be monitored in tandem.
STEEM/BTC is far from the ATHs. VERY FAR AWAY, there's alot of room to grow...
