Steemit/ Steem is more than a community, it is a family--> Big thanks to @meno
Steemit/ Steem is more than a community, it is a family. I have met some of the most incredible and genuine human beings on this platform. Some I have gotten to know pretty good and we exchange conservation on a daily basis. It has made my cryptocurrency journey very easy. It's always a joy hanging out with some of these folks on Discord and Telegram. I generally don't throw around the term "my friend" easily but I can say that I consider many of these folks my friends. I have had the privilege of working with some of these on several projects and even done some trading here and there. People are always willing to extend an arm and in a time where self-interest often overrides everything, folks on this platform are rare commodity.
I wanna take time in this blog to shout out my friend @meno, a truly incredible guy and Steemian by heart. In my darkest of time on the platform when I was about to throw in the towel, this guy has a way of putting things in perspective. I admire him a lot, he goes beyond the call of duty, organizing several Steem communities, leading several projects and initiatives to help develop and grow Steemians. He is one of the guys if you are new to the platform and you looking for someone to help bud you and help grow your following and account, this is the guy. It really does not matter the amount of Steem power you have, in fact, with a small amount of Steem power and the right attitude, he would dedicate help to grow your account through Helpie and several other initiatives. He is extremely kind and self-less, sometimes I ask myself, Meno how do you do it? If there was a Steemian of the year, I proudly recommend this guy.
I wrote a post in December making all of my wishes and gifts I like for Christmas and New Year. One of them were Steem or Steem power. The idea behind these wish/ gift was to help in my curation and help support the causes and initiatives I follow. Santa seem to evade me this year (lol), nonetheless to my surprise there is always someone reading my blog and taking notes, guess who sent some Steem my way--> @meno.
Well a big thank you to @meno, I appreciate the the gift. Its so good that someone can remember me like this. I wasted no time and powered it up. I know its January but I am still accepting gifts, so feel free send gifts to my account, all Steem collected would be powered up and SBD would be used on the internal exchange to buy more Steem.
I believe in the long run, this would be one of the characteristics that would distinguish Steem from other blockchains where you can have and experience that true human interaction. 2019 is shaping up to be a great year for cryptocurrency and I wish everyone success.
