I have one suggestion that I have been working on posting about for a little while. Implement a text-speech reader!? I don’t know how feasible it is to do through the browser but you have already a offline viewing system in place so id imagine even on data for just the voice side of that equation wouldn’t be to much.
I mention in because I love PressReader’s ability to download full magazines then on my drive into work I just click play and it will read it to me showing images with captions as it makes its way through.
As google translate is on our agenda for a complete transparent integration as a language barrier breaker, it would not be surprising that a text reader could emerge. As theses services are not free, users might be able to pay a difference with their upvote in a complete autonomous and transparent way.

It should be totally fine with upvotes even from new accounts, we'll pay a part of the translation for visitors and new accounts, accessibility is taken very seriously.
