cXc Music ~ Steem App Development Update (Valentines Day 2019)

Hello World Changers!!

I am currently in beautiful Florianopolis, Brasil, enjoying valentines day with my girlfriend. I have been working a little each day on cXc, so here's an update on the progress of cXc Music.

We have recently squashed 2 big bugs.

Chrome is now working fully!! There was a small bug causing the music players not to show up that was Chrome-specific, now fixed.
Spotify-only posts now show up with the correct title.

We also changed the text when you add music to "Paste URLS for one musical creation here. Please choose the most relevant location." to encourage proper post placement.

We are currently building charts.

We are working on the first-gen chart display, and expect it to be out soon!!

Our kickstarter is slow.

We aren't getting much attention on our Kickstarter. I haven't scheduled much time to promote it, as I want to work on the app and my other projects like Aquarius Academy and Live in Love. We would love your help in sharing the link to our kickstarter on your social media!!

Global chart display

We are going to start integrating our chart system. Global charts are coming soon! It will take some work to get the localized charts up and running, and we won't need this until we incorporate Purple anyway, so that will wait. Having a global chart system will make your votes matter in a real way, and give artists an incentive to post their music and share it, as now is the time to be at the top of the world!!

Guardianship

Guardianship is the moderation system where moderators get paid for their contributions. We are going to integrate this moderation system with Steemit users, allowing you to start to flag and change posts locations, genre, mood, and format. Guardians will also make sure that imposters aren’t trying to get rewards for music they don’t own. The full system will take some time, and by slowly incorporating it we can be sure everyone gets the experience they seek.

Mood and genre

We are improving the moods and genres again, and considering adding sub genres. The feedback we have gotten has shown that not every piece of music can be expressed with what we have now. We are continuing to re-work options until we get them right.

Curation system

We are improving the creation system for login Steemit users. Logged in Steemit users will be able to get their Sol chip, and spend it as they wish. We will make a transition from the current one-UP-per-five-minutes to the true system where only registered users can vote, and they can vote it all at the same time if they wish.

Clearer Instructions

We want to make everyone an educated user as soon as possible, so we are going to do a better job making it super obvious what to post and where!! FYI, you should post in the town most connected with the music, either the place the song was made or made about, or the home of the artists.
