Hey guys! I've started powering down a little bit of SP (about 600) recently, but rest assured I'm not leaving the platform any time soon, nor will I be selling that Steem.

A very long time ago, I made a post regarding my decision to never sell any Steem for fiat until I hit at least 10,000 SP, which I still stand by!

The liquid Steem I am powering down will be used for post promotions, @crypto.charity fundraising and perhaps even powered back up if I feel like I have too much liquid Steem on hand.

Some Thoughts

I feel like right now is the prime time to buy some Steem, or any crypto in general to be honest but I feel like many people (myself included) are a bit scared to buy altcoins, due to the rapidly increasing bitcoin dominance and volatility of the market as a whole.

I feel like the overall market sentiment is still very unsure right now, but hopefully as more news and development comes in the cryptocurrency market and ecosystem, investors' confidence will come back up and people will feel more comfortable investing in crypto, especially more in altcoins. I am confident that we will reach bitcoin dominance levels lower than they were before, maybe not this year but probably by the end of next year. Even if it's not caused by increased confidence, just the amount of new shitcoins springing up should decrease bitcoin dominance.

I also feel like Steem's time will come. The recent bear run has caused confidence and motivation to drop significantly in many crypto communities, but our community is still holding strong, with many more developments and dapps being worked on here, adding more value to our ecosystem. This just goes to show that those who are still here aren't in it for the money, they see real potential in the platform and that is what WILL drive us forward.

Also with HF21 coming up in September making it easier than ever to make an account, and SMTs FINALLY having a concrete release date, I'm finally starting to see a time frame of how long my investment is going to x10 in ;)
