Very simple poll,

a.  Never

b.  Non-Factor

c.  Slightly care either way on jumps/drops in price

d.  Huge factor

e.  Entirely

Leave your answers on the bottom,  I find myself at a C, I sort of care about the price don't get too involved day to day, it's much more of a long run concern as or right now, and daily fluctuations are to be expected in my opinion.

Sort:

if you count bots as interaction, then completely.

if you count conversations with real people, then never.

Great question though! :)

Haha good one @unleashpower. Ask not what your voting bot can do for you, but what you can do for your fellow voting bot.

Considering only the "interactions" part (frequency of browsing, posting and commenting), I'd say, "A. Never." I wouldn't change my level of posting and interacting because of the prices. Though I care about the prices when thinking of getting SP/powering up (but it has nothing to do with my level of interaction). I kind of like that we get a bit more SP in the payouts when STEEM is low :P . If only SBD wouldn't drop along with it, we'd get even more SP...

Yes I find myself in that similar thinking. After posting this I thought, the people who are affected are probably not around to answer the question due to the price drops lately, so, as expected the hearty crowd, like yourself, are the ones responding, which is good, when we start losing people like you we are in big trouble.

A. Never... I don't see why it would. Think about it like this: when prices are low, Steem is on sale!!! No matter the USD estimate of payout, we're all transacting the same amount of Steem. Come for the money, stay for the community baby 😎 Earn Steem when it's low so you have the opportunity to sell when it's high!

That's the ideal attitude in my opinion. SP builds quicker in the payouts when the price is low, and builds nicely right now with a little steem payout on top with the posts. Very well said, thanks again for the great comment @kowsk1!

NP dude, great idea for a poll!

I would say a mix between Options B and C:

The price of steem doesn't affect my interaction at all. :) I'm on here every day whether steem is worth 20 cents or 20 dollars. ;)

Obviously I would like the price to be higher for my wallet, but I came to Steemit with nothing and was happy to get a cent every now and then, and am still happy to get my one cent. The community is where it's at! I just wish I had more time to actually get involved and use Discord and stuff.

Never! It is important to be consistent so that you can reap the rewards when the STEEM price goes up. Upvoted!

c. Slightly Care.

I use my steem or sbd to upvote my posts paying bid bots. (Im actually going to decrease this significantly)

I also use the power up feature to delegate steem power and hold the rest so I can upvote articles I like. (I will be increasing this part of my investment strategy on steemit)

Im trying to play the cycle of buying while steemit goes down in value then selling a portion when steemit reaches its high point.

Never.

Cool, I am glad to hear that. That attitude is refreshing, I strive to have that attitude, it really doesn't affect how much I am on here or not, because there are always pros and cons for high and low prices, so in the end it really shouldn't matter. Thanks for the comment @wstanley226!

Well of course it matters... If the price of steem drops to $0.05, then you and your buddies will be whales... They you can have free reign over the wonderful communication that goes on here. For instance, you can positively encourage good comments with your MASSIVE upvote, or you can also penalize the shit out of one word answers. The good thing is that you will be the one that can make or break people. So just like in Gladiator, "what kind of King would you be?"

Is it just me or does the external price of Steem affect your voting power?

Seems my votes are worth more SP/SBD when Steem price is high and vice versa.
