RE: Announcing: Invest in Steem Social Media Blast Day - How can you help?

in #steem6 years ago

This is a bundle of great ideas. I wonder why not also bring up the blogging side of steemit, because it all ties in together. And for people to see the real value in the uncensored content on here and on dtube at least (I'm not familiar with any of the others on the blockchain), that could be a potential motivator to get people to invest. They have to know the "why".
In regards to sharing on mainstream social media like twitter, facebook or instagram, I'd personally recommend against doing that. It seems like it may be a waste of time.
I think one of the best ways to spread the word is to do it in person, with cell phones in hand. Talk about it to people face to face and then while in person walk them through the steps of signing up for their account and / or doing the actual investment right there on the spot. This involves more work than posting memes and links on mainstream social, but it will be 100x more effective. Especially if people think outside the box with going to places when they'll find people with money. Obviously going to your local walmart to spread the word is not what I'm talking about (unless maybe it involves talking to a regional manager or someone at the top who actually makes more than just an hourly wage). Think corporate offices in downtown areas, playing a few holes on some high-end golf courses where you could rub shoulders with some rich guys, etc. Talking naturally to people, not just going straight in for the ask, is important too. Or if you do want to just get straight to it, have some business cards printed out that have all the pertinent information.

Well, I don't see a lot of this as mutually exclusive. There are some good ideas in what you propose, but I would not see them as a reason not to do some of the other stuff too.
