Tourist Guide for the Day
As a Cape Townian I think we take a lot for granted we so used to the city and all it provides we don't see many of the things we normally do as tourist attractions and planning a day for someone is pretty hard and would depend on where their interests lie, but If I had to choose I'd say to get them to see the most in the space of 24 hours we'd have to focus on the city centre.
Robben Island
Robben Island is a tiny island off the coast of Bloubergstrand, Cape Town, South Africa. It takes its name from the Dutch word for seals, hence the Dutch/Afrikaans name Robbeneiland which translates to Seal Island.
During the Apartheid era, the Island was fortified and used as a prison for a political activist like Nelson Mandela who was imprisoned there for 18 of the 27 years he served behind bars before the fall of apartheid.

Kirsten Bosch Gardens
Kirstenbosch is an important botanical garden in Cape Town. The garden is one of ten National Botanical Gardens covering five of South Africa's six different biomes, so safe to say it has got a lot of plants. Besides that, the place has got mad views worth checking out if only you want to turn up your Instagram and add a little green vibe to it.

Boulders Beach
Boulders Beach is a sheltered beach made up of inlets between granite boulders, which is where it gets its name, yes not very creative but okay we'll roll with it. It is located in the Cape Peninsula, near Simon's Town towards Cape Point. It is a popular tourist spot because there are hella African penguins which settled there and have been running it as their own little private beach for ages.

Table Mountain
Probably the most famous thing about Cape Town is Table Mountain, it's a big ass mountain that is flat-topped forming a prominent landmark overlooking the cut. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top.

Winding down the day
By then the day would most likely have come to an end and what a great day it would have been :) would probably end it off at one of the markets either at the waterfront or the mojo market for a bite to eat and something oh so stunning to drink while enjoying the Cape Town summer and watching the sunset.
