It can happen, but it also goes back up its price .. It's a cycle, as well as low it goes back up. Sometimes it's a little faster other times a little slow, but in the end it's a cycle. It is the best time for what you can invest buying.
And this is the hard thing to determine when the lowest point is reached to buy :) Even now it would be a good opportunity but when it drops more than it could make a big difference.
