Making A Strong Pivot From Paypal To Cryptocurrency
This year many small businesses have gotten slammed by Paypal with accounts shut down without any warning and no clear example of why it was terminated. They are also holding funds of these accounts for 180 days before releasing them. This pretty much paints a clear picture of why we should never go towards a centralized system they become big and get overly greedy and just flat out mean.
This year I have decided to make a strong pivot away from Paypal and instead try and go 100% cryptocurrency by years end. This goes for taking payments and sending out commissions from affiliates as well as getting paid from affiliates in this manner.
The question and goals now will be finding systems that can be put into place to accommodate this. While there are some there still is a bit of a gap but I feel like this is a very real possibility and one that will help further adoption of cryptocurrency. Showing that if I can do it then so can other businesses.
P.S If someone has a payment provider that accepts steem or could create one for others to use that would be epic...
Two of my Indonesia Kratom supplier lost their PayPal-Account. This stuff is perfectly legal in Indonesia it is perfectly legal here in Greece and it still is legal in the US. Just big-pharma got in trouble since they lose a lot of their opioid-addicts.
Another shop was disconnected from PayPal because of selling Cuban Cigars .
So what the fuck do they care about trading between adults within sovereign states? In fact it is impertinent and shameless to even spy into peoples transactions!
Of course we using bitcoin!
Yeah I have not used paypal on my sites for two years I only used it to collect affiliate commissions and they flagged me how does that make senses lol wont even talk to me about it either bunch of bastards honestly 20 years of doing business with them with no issues till now.
ah - btw. I use coinpayments.net. I've seen options to add new currencies (affordable fee) or at least request to add it. Maybe it works for steem.
yes, if organisations like PayPal become too big and mighty it is time to change. We also should use decentralised Exchanges and markets and keep the regime out.
Maybe we should learn a little bit of Russian and Chinese to use their infrastructure :-)
Check out BTCPay that connects you directly to a node I believe. Only bitcoin though. @marketingmonk had a similar experience and moved to that option and posted a video about it a couple of weeks ago. Seems to be a great decentralized option.
