I thought that you complained "that the system "rules"" did not work "as claimed".
I remember to have heard or read dan claim that the peg was meant only to prevent declines below 1$, not ascends above it.

yes this is correct
system automatically adjusts for below and the BIAS function is there for witnesses to maintain "peg" similar to price feed but it isn't used as witnesses are under orders not to enforce
IDNK what bias and feed are.
