RE: HF20 IS A FAILURE! And needs to be rolled back immediately!
While I suffered both from the transition and from the officially intended results of HF20, I consider it acceptable and a lesser evil, compared to subsidiary of free volume spam.
The truth is that STEEM is a failure and needs to be rolled back immediately.
The problems are that it will not and even can not be rolled back, because there are those whom have already cashed out and benefited from the vast atrocity that STEEM is.
People should embrace dlive as loyal to their users, instead of to their first host platform.
Instead, I saw chauvinistic behavior from people whom are victims of STEEM more than they benefited from it.
Typical vassals (freiers).
The problem was the implementation of HF20, not really anything about what they were trying to do.
They had to manually set RCs in order to get it working again.
And what they really missed was having a period to play with RCs, setting parameters to see what really works to stop the spam.
steem inc still doesn't have the RC parameters set correctly, and i am waiting for the other shoe to fall.
About the platform... it is all a test bed, and nobody has thought it through. So, we will see a lot more of these fiascos in the future.
Many copies of STEEM will come out. They will all improve on each other, and then they will all go away as innovation makes them completely redundant and less than useful.
Arbitrary changes are not necessarily for the bad.
The RC limitation was sudden, and so was the reset of RCs that it necessitated.
Did you notice how the insiders among the witnesses shot their load to below 20% VP just prior to the fork?
Will they be forks that preserve holdings?
