RE: The adoring public: Showcasing example

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

seeing Chbartist 6 times in the top 20 of Trending.

I've asked him why he feels what he has to say is always more important than everybody else that he feels compelled to do that.

There are so many all hard working Steemian producing content not using bots and would be better for the reward pool allocation to be better spread to authors who build an organic following. It's not easy. But people these days just love shortcuts.

I can understand a one-off use for people trying to get the word out about something even though that's not my method but what he's doing screams narcissism.

That's just my opinion but, to be frank, believe he has earned the push back he gets. Just look at his mute list. People get turned off by his attention whoring.

I figure it is an attention seeker's destiny. Something akin to death of a salesman where if he stops buying, he becomes irrelevant. Have you seen Jerry lately?

I see the benefit in promoting projects and products but people should be backed by track record and the community.

Last I saw of Jerry was a video where he was talking about how much money he made from Steem after he left. It was a few months ago at least.

He and his Jerry bot made something like 30k IIRC. I expressed being against his budget proposal bid bot before it was a thing. He raised a budget all right. Smh.
